Car washing can be a double-edged sword. That's because your average jug-o-car-wash product is more likely to strip your car wax than not, leaving you with a dull, unprotected paint finish. Dish washing detergents, a favorite of many car owners, are even worse. Products like Dawn work great cutting through grease and grime, making them a very effective car wax remover. Sure, your car will be spotless, but it won't have a bit of protection.
Now, most of those cars are in excellent condition. How, do I know? Well, the reason why the car originally went on sale had nothing to do with the condition of the car. Fill the radiator with the antifreeze or antifreeze/water mixture. You may have a bleed screw somewhere on the top of the engine. Follow the upper radiator hose. The bleed screw may be on the top of the radiator, on top of the thermostat housing located on the top of the engine, or both. If you have a bleed screw, open it to allow the air to escape. Slowly pour in the required amount of antifreeze until you see it oozing from the air bleeds and then close the bleed screws. Pour the remaining antifreeze into the radiator and top off the system with water.
This is only necessary for vehicles that sit close to the ground. Changing your own oil requires you to be under you vehicle, so you need to raise your car up so you can complete those tasks.
Well I didn't want to drive on these seats so I started looking around for replacement covers. I called the dealership to get a quote on replacement covers and the quoted me almost $4000.00 for the seats and armrest! I couldn't believe it. I went to junkyards near me and all I could find was more torn up seat covers. Then it hit me, I remembered that Cadillac I had sat in so many years ago. The Cadillac with the sheepskin seat covers. I got so excited because I knew now exactly how to get my own.
Most bicycle manufacturers don't make touch-up paint available, so use a similar color automotive touch-up paint from an auto dealer or auto parts near me.
Do auto parts store near me over tighten the clamp or you may crush the pipe and have a bigger leak. Believe me I have done this. Place the rubber over the hole and secure the clamp. When you think you have it tight enough turn the water back on and check the leak. If it has stopped dripping then you are done and you are now a plumber. If not slowly tighten the clamp until the leak stops. Remember do NOT over tighten the clamp. In this case a little is better than too much. Hopefully this will be the last leak you will have, but chances are it will not be. If you live in Florida where I live I can almost guarantee you that you will have more. But now you know how to repair above the slab pinhole leaks.
