#1 Change your oil, air filter and oil filter. You probably do this regularly but make sure that you do it before the heat of the summer takes place. Your oil, oil filter and your air cleaner will help cool your car and cause less strain on your engine. Less strain means fewer problems.

Replacing spark plugs is not difficult, if they are located in a place on your engine block where you have enough room to reach them with a socket wrench. I usually start by taking out the first plug on the left side of the engine block. The spark plug wire is carefully removed. Then I put the socket wrench over the spark plug and turn the wrench counter clockwise until the plug comes loose.

When you are at the auto store near me, a spark plug wire puller and a spark plug gaper is needed. Although the gap is already set on new plugs but it would be better to check it. The wire puller helps in saving the wires from getting pulled apart.

Every couple of years you may want to buff out or brush this kind of pewter using very fine steel wool. You can find this in any local hardware store. Always remember to rub in the direction of the grain and do not press very hard. It will not take much to return it back to it's original appearance.

There are multiple different types of antifreeze for you to pick from. Some are designed for different types of vehicles, while others are designed specifically for weather conditions. Make sure that you know what they are and what they do. Picking auto parts store open now of antifreeze for your vehicle can be something that can end up being dangerous and ineffective. Many people do not understand what antifreeze is or what it does and therefore do not pick the right type for their vehicle. This is something that can end up doing a lot of damage to your car.

While holding the sachet vertical, slowly dribble the adhesive into the edge of the bolt hole as shown, ensuring that the adhesive flows into the joint between the seat rail and the zinc block. DO NOT pour the adhesive down the center of the hole. The object is to let the adhesive "wick" between the zinc block and the seat rail in order to bond the two pieces together.

Prior to the auction, the cars will be open and can be inspected. Generally cars are driven in to the auction (or towed if necessary) so you can see (and hear) the vehicle in action. Two years ago we purchased a 1997 Ford Taurus for $900 (plus $150 in fees). The car needed new spark plugs (it was written on the windshield) which we bought at the local auto parts near me and drove home. In the glove box was the last owners promissory note. She still owed over $2,000 on the car--twice as much as we paid for it!

Insert the new battery - Carefully pick up the new battery and place it in the now dry battery tray. Secure it in place with the hold down clamps. Spray both the negative and the positive terminals with a battery preserving solution that is available at your auto parts store near me. Attach and tighten the positive cable first followed by the negative cable. Close the hood of your car and remove your gloves.

We have four children under age six. We love to go on family bike rides and all wear helmets. This little helmet was a wonderful addition to our safety equipment collection when our 2 1/2 year old boy refused to wear a helmet for bike riding/carrier riding. Mind you, he had never known anything else until seeing some of our neighborhood older kids riding without helmets. Our rule is "no helmet, no bike". Our little lion loved this helmet and wore it without complaint. He told the other kids that it was sure too bad that they didn't have a lion helmet like his.
